Around Lübeck

Lübeck City Tour – The Perfect Introduction

Start your visit to Lübeck with this varied cycling tour – ideal for anyone wanting to gain a first impression of the city.

Our tour begins at the iconic Holstentor, Lübeck’s most famous landmark. From there, we cycle along the picturesque Obertrave, offering beautiful views of the old town island. We pass the impressive Lübeck Cathedral and ride around the historic old town on pleasant paths, giving you a sense of its size and layout.

We then head into the heart of the old town, where you'll discover highlights such as the renowned Buddenbrook House, the stunning St. Mary’s Church, and the Town Hall with its adjacent market square. A short walk through the pedestrian zone – with our bikes by hand – allows us to experience these landmarks up close.

Back in the saddle, the route continues to modern cultural sites including the Günter Grass House and the Willy Brandt House. We then visit the historic Hospital of the Holy Spirit and the traditional Seafarers' Guild Hall. A special highlight is the Gängeviertel, a charming medieval quarter of narrow alleyways and historic homes.

The tour ends back at the starting point – enriched with impressions and a vivid, well-rounded image of Lübeck.
